Scar revisions

If you are unhappy with a scar from either a previous procedure or from past trauma, Dr. Pharis utilizes a number of different procedures, often in conjunction, to improve the cosmetic appearance of unsightly scars. These treatments are tailor made for each patient and their particular scar(s).

Cyst/Lipoma excisions

If you are bothered by symptomatic cysts or lipomas (isolated fatty tissue growths), these benign growths can be excised in the office under local anesthesia and most times paid for by your insurance company.

Melanoma excision

Melanoma, the most serious of the three common skin cancers, is also effectively treated with a modified version of Mohs surgery. The lab work performed to evaluate the margins of the tissue removed is performed overnight rather than in the office while the patient waits. Although this requires the patient to return the following day to get the results of the lab work, this approach provides a higher cure rate than standard Mohs surgery. Our office staff will work with your schedule to inconvenience you as little as possible while your melanoma is treated.
